Sharara / Gharara

Sharara and Gharara are both traditional garments worn by women in South Asia, particularly in India,Nepal ,Bangladesh and Pakistan. A sharara is a flared, loose-fitting pant that resembles a divided skirt. It is usually straight and have a loose, relaxed fit throughout the leg. Gharara pants, on the other hand, are constructed with a more complex design. The lower part of the pants is heavily pleated from the knee level, and the pleats are stitched tightly together until the ankle, creating the distinctive triangular flare.
